Senior Account Executive, Electric Sales — Mid-Atlantic Region
Reporting to the Vice President of Sales and based in the Mid-Atlantic Region, the Senior Account Executive is responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of accounts. The ideal candidate will possess an in-depth knowledge of the industry and have experience in selling energy and energy-related products to businesses in Maryland, Washington, D.C.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation — Develop and maintain a consistent incoming stream of prospective customers.
Establish BlueStar Energy — Promote BlueStar's reputation; build value and credibility associated with the BlueStar Energy brand name.
Contact Management — Gather, verify and maintain all contact information of key decision makers utilizing BlueStar's proprietary contact management system.
Market Intelligence — Gain knowledge, insight and understanding from key decision makers and general account information regarding current electric supply strategy, business needs/challenges, desired product types, risk tolerance, and contract terms required for BlueStar to quote a prospective customer.
Credit & Pricing — Gather necessary information to determine customer creditworthiness.
Contract Negotiation Prepare, present, interpret and re-negotiate BlueStar's contracts ensuring a positive customer experience.
Reporting & Feedback — Provide ongoing and regular feedback to sales management regarding key account opportunities and challenges.
Qualifications & Attributes
Energy Experiencea minimum of 5 years of successful sales experience in the energy business.
Drive & Motivation — Self-directed and driven with an ability to develop sales strategies for key accounts
Relationship Builder — strong existing relationships within the energy business and ability to establish new relationships. Skilled at working across multi-disciplinary functions and departments.
Winning Sales Record — Proven sales professional with mastery of sales psychology and solid techniques. Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management
Results Orientation — Proactive problem solving ability with a solutions-oriented attitude. Focus on results with an ability to manage frequently changing priorities and stress in a professional and productive manner.
Superior Communications — Exemplary verbal, written, and confident presentation skills along with excellent interpersonal skills.
Education — Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, sales, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
